Oklahoma Sky:

 A Tribute to Tim Samaras, Paul Samaras, and Carl Young

Bravery embodied,

And genius unrestrained

Tim Samaras had it down

He chased the skies unfeigned

He always knew what he should do

How to be safe, and where to go

He knew his limits, and others’ too

And never chased just for the show

Meteorologists and storm chasers,

Those who knew him know

The work he did saved countless lives

He died a true hero

So what Twistex did won’t be forgotten

And cruel tragedy dim

Cannot remove the legacy

Of Carl, Paul, and Tim.

We lost the best

And as the rest

We’ll stand with candles bright

And remember, pay tribute

To the men

Who died that terrible night.

For the sky reached down

And took them home

Beneath the Oklahoma sky

But as God is willing

Their spirits are still with us

For legends never die.
